AMD's AM4 has seen a gloriously long shelf life. This cheaper 8-core X3D processor came as a surprise and a pleasant one at that. If you can afford the 7800X3D we'd recommend it, but otherwise you should be able to squeeze a good number of years out of a 5800 or 5700 X3D.
The more tricky question is do you gain enough to upgrade from a 5600X to a 5700X3D. We vote no on this one but each to their own.
