We have to have a thread for DaVinci Resolve. This software is amazing.
First of all there is a free edition which for a lot of people would really be all they need. Then the paid edition is a one time fee, and you can get it for free with a Blackmagic camera or computer interface.
And it's not just a video editing software. The special FX and sound aspects of it are top notch. And the color grading is phenomenal. It's actually simple to learn to use just for the basics. Even if you just want to do simple, quick editing for YouTube I would recommend DaVinci Resolve as you can just ignore the menus that don't apply to use and use the editing features which are straightforward. And if you ever want to up your game you're already familiar with the software and its interface.
