Nikon Z6 III Rumors

There is rumors that the Nikon Z6 III might be announced as soon as November of 2022.

The only thing we're hearing so far is that it still has 24MP sensor. We don't have certainty on this point, however.

Clearly the initial rumors about an early release were very wrong. It's time we updated this thread. Here's what is currently being reported:
  • Multiple sources saying 24.5MP BSI sensor
  • EXPEED 7 processor
  • Larger body than the Z6/Z6II
  • Improved IBIS especially for video
  • High resolution pixel-shift mode
  • 6K/60p and 4K/120p 12Bit N-RAW
  • 4K ProRes 422 HQ 10-bit MOV video at 4K/60p
  • CFexpress B and SD UHS-II card slots
  • Great low light
  • $2500 price tag
  • High quality EVF
  • Variangle LCD screen
We hope these rumors are actually true because it really sounds like they're going all out and giving us a great, all around 24MP body that should do everything you need unless you need higher resolution.

We are really sad to see no open gate mode for video. The dynamic range is also not best in class but it's still within an acceptable range. There is still rolling shutter but it's vastly improved over the Z6 II or something like the Sony A7IV.

This is a strong camera from Nikon as it really has great ergonomics and performance. It's arguably one of the best value cameras in its segment.
